Between September 12 and 14, 2012 RSRP provided expert mission to Georgia to review a draft of the new Georgian rules for inspections of nuclear and radiation practices. RSRP technical expert, Zuzana Paskova )—director of the Radiation Sources Department of the Czech State Office for Nuclear Safety (SUJB)—discussed with colleagues of Nuclear and Radiation Safety Department (NRSD) of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Georgia, all aspects of inspection of radiation sources, including tools for preparing inspection plans and inspection check lists. The draft of new rules for inspections was finalized and was prepared to be sent for approval to relevant ministries and other governmental agencies in Georgia.
