The US NRC delegation headed by Jack Ramsey, a senior advisor for the Office of International Programs, visited the Agency for Nuclear and Radiation Safety during December 14-16, 2016. The meeting concluded with signing of the MOU regarding renovation of the office space in 2017 to be occupied by ANRS. The signing ceremony was attended by Maia Bitadze, Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, and Vasil Gedevanishvili, a Director of ANRS and a signatory to the MOU.
The meeting participants discussed on-going and future RSRP support for the ANRS in strengthening regulatory control over radiation sources. Sergey Katsenelenbogen of AdSTM, Inc. and Peter Kohut of BNL supported the US NRC visit.
