On October 21-25, 2024, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Radiation Source Regulatory Partnership (RSRP) participated in the International Atomic Energy Agency Technical Meeting on Educational Networks. RSRP presented an overview of their current support to Radiation Protection Officers (RPO) training programs in two countries. The audience asked several questions, made very positive comments and provided valuable suggestions. Several countries expressed interest in establishing their own local RPO university-based training programs to meet the increasing demand for these professionals in the medical and industry field.
