NRC Provides Radiation Safety Training in Congo

From September 9-13, 2019, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s (NRC) Radiation Sources Regulatory Partnership (RSRP) provided radiation safety training in the Republic of the Congo. The workshop, which provided important, complimentary support related to the ongoing sources inventory project in the country, covered different aspects of nuclear and radiation safety and security, including the IAEA Code of Conduct. More than 25 participants from different national authorities participated in the activity. In addition, the Ministry of Mines and Geology received additional training on the use of the Advanced Regulatory Information System (ARIS).
