RASOD Training in Jordan - Development of National Registry of Radiation Sources

From March17 - 22, 2013 RSRP provided training to JNRC (Jordan Nuclear Regulatory commission) staff in development of the National Registry of radiation sources, x-ray generators, associated devices and user facilities. The RSRP instructor installed RASOD (sources database) and AUTHORIZATION (licensee database) software and provided training which covered hands-on training on data entry, software usage and on-site sources inventory training process. Training was provided by Grigol Basilia of Nuclear and Radiation Safety Department (NRSD) of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Georgia, with assistance from Weidong He (AdSTM). Software was developed and is maintained by Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center of Armenia (N&RSC). During the meeting Sergey Katsenelenbogen (AdSTM) provided information to Tamer Kasht (Director of International Cooperation Jordan Nuclear Regulatory Commission) on the RSRP support for nation wide inventory and development of national registry projects.
