RASOD Training in Zambia, Development of National Registry of Radiation Sources

During February 25 - March 1, 2013 RSRP provided training of RPA (Radiation Protection Authority) staff of the Republic of Zambia in development of the National Registry of radiation sources, x-ray generators, associated devices and user facilities. The RSRP instructor installed RASOD (sources database) and AUTHORIZATION (licensee database) software and provided training which covered hands-on training on data entry and software usage. Training was provided by Grigol Basilia of Nuclear and Radiation Safety Department (NRSD) of Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Georgia. Software was developed and is maintained by Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center of Armenia (N&RSC). During the meeting Sergey Katsenelenbogen (AdSTM/RSRP) provided information to Mr. Daught Muleya (RPA Acting Executive Dirctor) on the RSRP support for nation wide inventory and development of national registry projects.
