The US NRC Radiation Source Regulatory Partnership (RSRP) delivered one more time the virtual training seminar on “Overview of Cyclotron PET Licensing Process”. The seminar was conducted in two sessions, on September 14 and 15, 2020; with each session lasting approximately 2 hours. The seminar provided an overview of the production of PET radioactive material licensing including, PET radiopharmaceutical materials to be considered for the licensing of PET facilities, safety requirements for the design and construction of PET facilities and the principles of shielding and other radiation protection safety measures. Eighteen (18) regulatory staff from Chad, Congo-Brazzaville, Cote D’Ivoire, Mauritania and Senegal attended the seminar.
