During December 8-18, 2014, RSRP provided training in NRC regulatory processes and the security provisions applicable to IAEA Category 1 and 2 sealed radioactive sources at a Workshop conducted by the Korea Institute for Nuclear Safety (KINS) and co-sponsored by the Federation of Nuclear Regulatory Bodies in Africa (FNRBA). Training lectures were presented regarding NRC licensing, inspection, and enforcement processes, as well as the provisions of 10 CFR 30.34(i) for the security of portable gauges and 10 CFR Part 37 for the security of Category 1 and 2 sources. Training was conducted by Thomas Essig and Sergey Katsenelenbogen of AdSTM.
