The US NRC Radiation Source Regulatory Partnership (RSRP) delivered a virtual training seminar on “Linear Accelerators Inspections” for regulatory staff from East Africa countries. The virtual seminar was conducted in a 2 hours session on February 18-19, 2021. The seminar focused on Performance Based Inspections and provided an overview of how Linear Accelerator inspections are conducted at the USA based on the clinical workflow. A review of checklists and inspections documentation was also presented. Twenty-three (23) regulatory staff from Ethiopia, Malawi, Mozambique, Mauritius, Rwanda and Zambia attended the activity.
