The US NRC Radiation Source Regulatory Partnership (RSRP) delivered the workshop “Methods for Inventory of Sources of Ionizing Radiation (SIR)” for the University of Burundi, on June 14-18, 2021. The seminar provided an overview of the importance of building the country SIRs registry and the appropriate approach to obtain information and register it. Estimation methods of sources parameters were discussed, inspections checklists were prepared, and an Overview of the software ARIS was presented. The workshop provided Burundi with important information to plan and implement the strategy to develop the national sources database.
