RSRP progress meetings on current and future projects were held December 8-12, 2014 in Moldova and Ukraine. In Moldova, discussions were held with NARNRA (National Agency for Regulation of Nuclear and Radiological Activities) and TSO Inotech, LLC. To complete ongoing tasks on Moldavian legislation improvements, some newly prepared / amended legal documents need approval by the Government. Radiation Sources Regulatory Partnership (RSRP) program sponsored a workshop on the new version of Advanced Regulatory Information System (ARIS v2.0). Held in Yerevan, Armenia, December 17-20, 2014, the workshop was organized by the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center, the developer of the ARIS software. During December 8-18, 2014, RSRP provided training in NRC regulatory processes and the security provisions applicable to IAEA Category 1 and 2 sealed radioactive sources at a Workshop conducted by the Korea Institute for Nuclear Safety (KINS) and co-sponsored by the Federation of Nuclear Regulatory Bodies in Africa (FNRBA). During April 24 – May 2, 2014 RSRP provided specialized model inspections (on-the-job training) of radiation protection inspectors of the Department for Nuclear and Radiation Safety of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia.
